Welcome to part two of Chelsea, Lacey and Duffy’s Adventure at I-Drive 360! Last time I talked about our first stop at the SEA LIFE Aquarium, now it is time to delve into the exciting world of the Wax Museum!
Madame Tussauds is at the far end of the complex, straight across. There is a wax figure of Bruno Mars outside anyone can take a photo with without going in. As soon as you’re inside there is another photo opportunity, this time with props! We moved along into the Florida swamp where there is a man captaining an airboat with seats that would be a good setup for your own group photo. We stepped into the next room to find ourselves on an old fashioned ship with Juan Ponce de Leon, who apparently is the man who discovered and named Florida.
(Yes, I had to look that up because I was too busy being excited about what I thought was a pirate ship to read the sign.) This was where we had to start waiting our turn for pictures. It was never more than a minute or two, but I could see the waits being bad on a busier day. The next area we looked around but pretty much walked straight through, it was dedicated to American History with Uncle Sam and President Abraham Lincoln seated beside him. The set changed and we were in the Oval Office with the previous president standing to one side in front of a mural of the Washington Monument and the current one beside the desk. I could not walk through there fast enough. The next figure is Martin Luther King Jr.
and across from him sits Walt Disney himself.

Duffy and I just had to have a picture with him. Steve Jobs is the next with Albert Einstein, and the man who I think invented the Brillo pad. I am not going to lie, there were plenty of figures that I had no idea who they were. The final historical figure was Madame Tussuads herself, working on a new wax sculpture. [/lgc_column]

[/lgc_column][lgc_column grid=”50″ tablet_grid=”50″ mobile_grid=”100″ last=”true”]Then we moved onto sports! NASCAR driver of some sort, Tiger Woods, Serena Williams, and Tennessee’s favorite son Peyton Manning. Those were the only ones I had any clue about. For someone who spent a lot of her life playing sports, I know very little about them, but I still felt honor bound to take my photo with Peyton.[/lgc_column]
Disclaimer: There are all sorts of celebrities and actors spread throughout the museum, and I may be remembering them in the wrong order.

[/lgc_column][lgc_column grid=”50″ tablet_grid=”50″ mobile_grid=”100″ last=”true”]We found Neil Patrick Harris “suited up” on the set of How I Met Your Mother, Jimmy Fallon on the set of The Tonight Show, and Jim Parsons on the set of The Big Bang Theory. Po from Kung Fu Panda was just behind Steven Spielberg surveying the set of ET and Jurassic Park. (I still want to know why there was no Chris Pratt figure!) Jennifer Lawrence was dressed as Katniss.[/lgc_column]
[lgc_column grid=”50″ tablet_grid=”50″ mobile_grid=”100″ last=”false”][/lgc_column][lgc_column grid=”50″ tablet_grid=”50″ mobile_grid=”100″ last=”true”]Then there is the music room. Katy Perry, Madonna, Elvis, Demi Lovato, Michael Jackson, Rihanna and more. This room was where I found my only complaint for the whole day. There is a Beyoncé figure, except I wouldn’t have known it was her if I hadn’t read the sign. You hear a lot about whitewashing these days, but good grief.[/lgc_column]
The very last room is the “A List Party”. We spent a lot of time here. Johnny Depp, Ryan Gosling, Samuel L. Jackson, and Will Smith to name a few. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie apparently used to stand together, but since their famous breakup they turned the figures back to back. We took a ton of photos and made our way to the gift shop, where we were again offered to buy a photo book.

I was extremely surprised by how much fun we had. I have a feeling this is the closest I will ever get to most of these people and I got some really cute photos. I giggled like a twelve year old taking a selfie with Channing Tatum. The best part is that most of the figures have props with them so you can pose in the photos with them. There are golf clubs with Tiger Woods. You can try on ties with Neil Patrick Harris. I threw on a Pink Ladies jacket to jump up with Sandy and Danny from Grease and Lacey put on a nerd shirt to sit on the set of the Big Bang Theory. Duffy even got an explorer’s hat. I really want to come back with a group and stage a whole bunch of photos.
Check back soon for the exciting conclusion as we go soaring 400 feet above the city as we venture onto the Orlando Eye.
