Epcot’s 25th Flower and Garden Festival

Apr 3, 2018

Until Festival of the Arts came along, Flower and Garden was my favorite festival that Epcot had every year. Even though it has been knocked out of its top spot on my list, it’s still a lot of fun, and I love going to check it out. This is the first year I’ve gone with a camera other than my phone, so I mostly took a ton of pictures.

Like most of Disney’s yearly events, there are many staples to Flower and Garden, with a few new things. The classic violet lemonade is back! It now costs a whopping $4.25. I remember when it used to be $3.00, and I love that now I’ve been going to Flower and Garden long enough to be able to say that! Also, there’s basically a Dole Whip with rum, so that’s a must have.

This year is the 25th Anniversary of Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival, and there’s tons of cool merchandise to be found for that. I’m really excited that Disney is now issuing the seasonal magnets for annual passholders. I’ve already picked up my Mickey Mouse magnet and will be going back for the Minnie one as soon as they’re available. I find it funny that there’s a whole check in process and they scan your Magic Band. During Christmas, I showed my annual pass at Hollywood Studios, and they handed both Jay and me magnets without even questioning it.

I am rather disappointed there’s no Flower and Garden Duffy or Shellie May this year. There is a sort of generic spring set of both of them, but it’s just not the same.

New this year they have Spike’s Pollen Nation Exploration in addition to the Easter Eggstravaganza, featuring a Honey Bee named Spike, that lasts the duration of the festival.

Flower and Garden is definitely Epcot’s prettiest festival of the year. The flower beds through Future World alone are gorgeous, and that’s not even counting the topiaries. They’ve got some really good photo spots with the flowers, and there’s even some Magic Shots!

If you can’t make it out to Epcot, never fear, I have photos for you!
