Black Friday in the Parks

Nov 23, 2017

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
With companies having their best sales
On everything from gifts to dining with whales,
it’s the most wonderful time of the year!

Yes, I am one of those terrible people who love Black Friday. I like saving money, and I like hunting for good deals. One of my favorite memories about moving to Florida is actually from the Black Friday just before the move when Robby and I went shopping to set me up for my first apartment. We had such a good time!

Then I moved to Florida and the internet decided Black Friday was bad, and I got guilted into not going shopping. Admittedly, Orlando is a little harder to hit with the same efficiency I did in Knoxville since everything is more spread out. In recent years, the theme parks started getting into the game and they once again have some great deals this year.

SeaWorld’s Blue Friday has some of the best offers since they are actually discounting some of their theme park tickets.

  • Buy One, Get One Free SeaWorld single day tickets.
  • Buy One, Get One Free SeaWorld and Aquatica two visit tickets.
  • Buy One, Get One 50% Off SeaWorld and Aquatica Annual Pass
  • Buy One, Get One 50% Off SeaWorld All Day Dining
  • Buy One, Get One Free Unlimited Quick Queue
  • Buy One, Get One Free Beluga and Walrus Up Close Tour
  • Buy One, Get One Free Dine With Shamu
  • Up to $110 off a Discovery Cove Package
  • 30% off all merchandise at the online store

I’ve got my eye on the Dine with Shamu since I’ve never done it, and the Beluga and Walrus Up Close Tour since it’s the only way to see the new baby walruses!

Disney Springs is also having a ton of sales and events. Over twenty-four of their retailers are having special offers and doorbusters! That is in addition to the sales at World of Disney, the world’s largest Disney store. There are also a bunch of limited and special editions releasing, including two Magic Bands, the brand-new Cast Costume Collection, and two styles of Dooney and Burke purses. Details can be found on the Disney Parks Blog.

To be perfectly honest, most of my Black Friday spending will be done at Michaels on supplies for one of my latest projects that I can’t wait to show you guys. I’ve also got my eye on Amazon for Christmas presents, but I can do that from the safety of my couch. Below you will find some suggestions for your own Amazon shopping.

Moving to Orlando in 2013 to join the Disney College Program was the start of the Great Florida Adventure for Chelsea and her best friend Duffy Bear. Now they spend their days exploring all there is to do in the Orlando area and seeing what adventures life where the rest of the world vacations brings.
